Circuit breaker designed to protect DC and AC circuits from current overloads (unacceptable duration or current) and short-circuit currents.
Operation principle is the following: under the overloading current, the bimetal strip bends by temperature and drive the release mechanism, which breaks the circuit.
The circuit breaker assembly can operate either as a manual switch or as an automatic circuit breaker with bimetal release.
